Bullying and harassment in schools continues as a serious challenge for educational institutions nationwide. The National Institute of Health reports that one out of every four students has been bullied at school and that one out of every five students admit to being a bully. In this environment, faculty and administrators cannot stand idly by and allow bullying to occur. To prevent liability, schools at all levels must take reasonable measures to make themselves safe for their students.
This program will highlight the most pressing compliance and security issues for employers, particularly in light of the Department of Education’s new anti-bullying guidelines, and provide practical recommendations for safeguarding students and responding effectively to incidents of bullying and violence at schools.
