Littler Welcomes Shareholder Lisa L. Steele to Its Pittsburgh Office

PITTSBURGH, PA (July 14, 2011) – Littler Mendelson, P.C. (Littler), the nation’s largest employment and labor law firm representing management, is pleased to welcome Lisa L. Steele as a shareholder to its Pittsburgh office. Steele joins Littler after serving as in-house employment counsel for Allegheny Energy Service Corporation.

“We are excited to welcome Lisa to the team,” said John Cerilli, office managing shareholder of Littler’s Pittsburgh office. “Her experience, coupled with her understanding of the needs and demands of in-house counsel, make her an invaluable asset to the firm,” adding that this is an example of the office’s continual strategic growth to provide the best service to clients.

Practicing labor and employment law for 15 years, Steele has worked both as in-house counsel and in private practice. Her experience in labor and employment law includes issues related to leave policies, wage and hour compliance, investigations, and representation in arbitrations and hearings, as well as development of training programs for human resources personnel and management.

“I am excited to be part of this wonderful firm and appreciate the great services and extensive resources they have to offer clients throughout the United States,” said Steele.

Steele received her law degree from the University of Pittsburgh School of Law, cum laude, in 1996 where she was an Associate Editor of the Journal of Law and Commerce. She earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Administration of Justice with distinction and honors from the Pennsylvania State University in 1993. Steele is a member of the bar of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, the United States Courts of Appeals for the Third, Fourth, and Eighth Circuits; and the United States District Courts for the Western District of Pennsylvania and Northern District of Illinois.
