Kerry Hardman focuses her practice on labor and employment law matters, with significant experience in wage and hour cases for the home care industry. She has handled over 30 investigation cases before the New York State Department of Labor. Kerry's background with a plaintiffs' firm has enabled her to guide strategy on cases and given her insight into the plaintiffs' mindset and motives.
During law school, she worked in various capacities for a local plaintiffs' employment law firm where she gained a significant amount of experience in all aspects employment law, particularly wage and hour law. Among other things, Kerry assisted in drafting intent to sue letters, rebuttal and other correspondence to opposing counsel, as well as pleadings, discovery demands/responses, affidavits, mediation statements and motions. She also prepared damage calculations for class action lawsuits and assisted during settlement negotiations and mediations. She was the recipient of numerous scholarships and awards, including the Order of the Barristers Award for excellence and high honor through the art of courtroom advocacy, Martin Domke Best Individual Oralist Award, Eric E. Bergsten Best Team Orals Award, First Place in Brooklyn Law School’s Intramural Moot Court Competition, and the Latin American Law Students Association Best Oral Advocate Award. Her activities included Moot Court Chair of the Latin American Law Students Association, Vice President of the Latin American Law Students Association and numerous moot court competitions.
While in college, she spent a year studying abroad in Chile.
