Overview

Brandie N. Charles is an experienced trial attorney whose practice includes litigation of all areas of labor and employment law, including:

  • Wrongful discharge
  • Discrimination and harassment
  • The American with Disabilities Act
  • The Family and Medical Leave Act
  • Whistleblowing and retaliation
  • Employment arbitration
  • Administrative proceedings before state and federal agencies

Brandie practices in both state and federal court and has extensive appellate court experience. Additionally, she provides day-to-day advice and counseling to employers with an emphasis on strategies to prevent and manage litigation risks. She advises her clients in personnel and policy issues centered around compliance with state and federal employment laws, including employee hiring, discipline and termination, medical leaves and workplace accommodations.

In law school, Brandie was a member of the Hale Moot Court Honors Program, in which she was awarded Best Respondent Brief and was a quarter-finalist in the oral argument. She was ultimately selected for the National Moot Court Team and served on its board as an editor.
