(June 23, 2016) – Littler, the world’s largest employment and labor law practice representing management, has been selected as a “2016 Tenth Anniversary Gold Standard” firm and received the “Gold Standard Certification” for the sixth consecutive year from the Women in Law Empowerment Forum (WILEF). This certification is awarded to firms that have successfully promoted women equity partners, integrated women partners into the governance structure and recognized the contributions of women through compensation.
“Women are a significant part of Littler’s workforce, and we are proud to once again be recognized by WILEF for our efforts in creating opportunities for women to thrive within our firm,” said Tom Bender and Jeremy Roth, co-managing directors of Littler. “Having women leaders at every level of the firm is a priority, and the WILEF Certification reinforces our ongoing commitment toward achieving that goal.”
Littler’s Women’s Leadership Initiative (WLI) provides opportunities for female attorneys to improve their skill sets through associate mentoring programs and women leadership forums. Lawyers involved with WLI are able to discuss their experiences, learn how to promote their successes and identify skills for advancement.
Additionally, many of Littler’s female attorneys are active and hold leadership roles in the legal, business and civic communities, championing causes important to the firm – such as women’s advancement, diversity and inclusion, and innovation in the delivery of legal services. As a result of this participation within the community and the firm’s various programs, Littler continues to be recognized by such organizations as Vault, which ranked Littler No. 7 for Diversity for Women and by Working Mother magazine, which has consistently named the firm among its 50 Best Law Firms for Women.
