Overview

As a member of the Littler CaseSmart – Charges™ team and based in Texas, Tiffany Obeng is responsible for handling charges from investigation to conclusion. She works on client-dedicated service teams, focusing on handling administrative agency charges. She investigates charge allegations, reviews pertinent documents, interviews key witnesses, and provides clients an assessment of the risks associated with the charge. In partnership with the client, she defends the charge by drafting persuasive position statements and responses to the agency’s requests for information.

Prior to joining Littler, Tiffany was a senior equal opportunity advisor in the Office of Diversity and Equal Opportunity at an academic health university. At this client-institution of over ten thousand employees and over four thousand students, she trained management on Title VII and Title IX, conducted Title VII and Title IX investigations, analyzed proposed Texas legislation affecting the institution’s Title VII and Title IX obligations, and updated institutional policies related to Title VII, Title IX, ADAAA, and ADEA.

Previously, she was a managing director/attorney equal employment opportunity consultant. Her clients included small independent shops to global companies. Tiffany represented management in matters brought before the EEOC and TWC, drafted and filed position statements with the EEOC and TWC, represented clients in mediations and fact-finding conferences with the EEOC, provided guidance to clients on complying with Title VII requirements, and updated company policies related to Title VII.

During law school, Tiffany interned with the Texas Supreme Court and the 14th District Court of Appeals. She was also a research assistant to an Employment Law, Employment Discrimination professor.
