Overview

Riane Lafferty focuses her practice on employment litigation and traditional labor law. She litigates cases before federal and state trial and appellate courts and represents clients in proceedings before administrative agencies such as the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, New York State Division of Human Rights, and National Labor Relations Board. Riane most frequently litigates matters involving discrimination, harassment, retaliation, wage and hour disputes, class actions, and traditional labor disputes.

Riane also represents management in traditional labor law matters including labor arbitrations and collective bargaining. She conducts workplace investigations, provides training for supervisors and employees, and provides advice and counsel on day-to-day employment issues with the goal of mitigating the risk of litigation.

Prior to joining Littler, Riane was a partner at a large regional law firm where she was a member of the firm’s labor and employment department.
