This program is designed for in-house counsel and human resource professionals.

With the explosion of social media in recent years, the line between employees' business and personal lives has grown increasingly blurred. Employers must clearly understand when, if, and how they can manage employees' personal behavior in the social media universe.

Ex-employee returns to workplace brandishing a gun. An estranged spouse is spotted on the premises. An angry customer wages an increasingly threatening email campaign. An employee tells co-workers that she plans to commit suicide. Just when you thought you had heard and seen it all, a new twist in workplace violence occurs. Reading about potentially violent situations simply will not prepare you to make the split-second executive decisions that could mean the difference between life and death.

In this highly interactive session, our attorneys will lead a group discussion on topical scenarios that examine the legal, regulatory, technological and social issues that are dramatically reshaping the modern workplace and review practical ways of dealing with them.
