Even with the delays in the Affordable Care Act (ACA) requirements, employers cannot afford to delay their preparations. For many employers, the ACA "play-or-pay" mandate will become effective in 2015. Employers must use the remainder of 2014 to make important strategic decisions about health care coverage for their employees. Although the IRS has issued final rules on this employer mandate, they are indeed complex and a number of questions remain. Speakers will discuss what employers need to do to prepare for implementation of the ACA in 2015 and beyond.
