Overview

Christa A. Hall represents and advises employers in a range of employment and labor law matters.

Before joining Littler, Christa served one year as an Assistant U.S. Attorney in the Northern District of California, where she prosecuted fraud, firearms, narcotics, and child sexual assault cases. She previously worked as an Alameda County District Attorney, prosecuting a wide range of misdemeanor and felony cases. In that role, Christa handled approximately 100 preliminary hearings, several misdemeanor motions, felony motions, and misdemeanor appeals, prepared for multiple trials, and resolved many cases. Christa served as a judicial clerk for the Honorable Judge Davila, Northern District of California, and summered during law school at the Alameda District Attorney’s office as well as with a law firm in Sacramento.

Prior to pursuing her legal career, Christa worked at the White House during the Obama Administration. She began as an intern in the Scheduling & Advance office, and later became President Obama’s Associate Director and Trip Manager. Christa managed the President’s travel schedule, traveling on over 100 Air Force One Presidential trips domestically and internationally. Finally, Christa served on the National Security Council as the Advisor to the Deputy Assistant to the President and Deputy Homeland Security Advisor. She managed policy workflow between 45 directors within the Homeland space including the Cyber, Resilience, and Transborder directorates. For her contributions, Christa was awarded the National Security Council Special Achievement Award.

Christa also has a decorated military background, having served in the U.S. Air Force as a security forces member (police officer) from Airman to Staff Sergeant. Her last position was as a Raven. While in the Air Force, Christa provided classified security throughout Afghanistan, Iraq, Africa, Russia, South America, and Southeast Asia. She deployed four times, temporarily residing in Afghanistan, Iraq, and Africa. Christa also managed, installed, and administered tactical automated security systems while in Baghdad, Iraq. Christa was awarded two Air Force Achievement Medals and named Air Mobility Command Raven Team Member of the Year for 2006.
