Attorneys from Littler's Greenville office team up with iDiscovery Solutions to provide a dynamic and forward-looking discussion on how AI is transforming the workplace, and what employers need to know to navigate the legal, operational and workforce implications.
Panel One: AI at Work: Workforce Transformation, Employee Management and Emerging Legal Risks
Generative AI is rapidly reshaping the workplace - from employee productivity tools and HR chatbots to performance management, workforce analytics and employee monitoring. As organizations integrate AI into day-to-day operations, employers face new challenges involving bias, privacy, accommodations, employee relations, accuracy, and evolving state and federal regulations. This session will explore how AI is transforming the employee experience, the legal risks associated with AI-enabled workplace decisions, and practical governance strategies for deploying AI responsibly while maintaining compliance and employee trust.
Panel Two: When the Prompt Becomes the Leak: Protecting Trade Secrets in the Age of AI
Employees are increasingly using generative AI tools to draft documents, summarize data and solve workplace problems - but what happens when confidential information finds its way into a chatbot? This session will explore how trade secrets, proprietary business information, employee data and privileged communications can be unintentionally exposed through AI use. Panelists will discuss legal risks, emerging litigation trends, governance strategies, acceptable-use policies, training programs and practical steps employers can take to safeguard their most valuable information while still enabling innovation.
