Maura A. Mastrony focuses her practice on both labor and employment matters. She handles traditional labor litigation matters, including labor arbitration hearings, unfair labor practice proceedings, NLRB trials, pre- and post-election litigation matters and injunction proceedings. In addition, she handles collective bargaining (including first contract negotiations), provides advice and counsel on a broad range of labor related issues and also works with employers to respond to union election petitions, as well as to counsel them on working with a union-represented workforce. Notably, Maura has also litigated several NLRB trials for some of the country’s largest companies, including a national failure to bargain allegation covering hundreds of retail locations.

Maura also handles employment litigation matters arising in state and federal court as well as at the administrative level before the Connecticut Commission on Human Rights and Opportunities and the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission. Further, Maura counsels employers on a wide range of employment related issues, including leaves and accommodations and human resources policies, among others.

Prior to joining Littler, Maura served as a law clerk to the Hon. Thomas West and the Hon. Paul Foti at the Connecticut Appellate Court. After clerking, she also worked for several years at a leading litigation/trial boutique firm in New Haven where she co-chaired multiple bench and jury trials and appellate matters.
