Barbara E. Hoey: Unemployed law works against business

Littler’s Barbara Hoey authored an article which discusses a new law in New York City that prohibits employers from discriminating against the “unemployed” when they make hiring decisions. She explains how this law will essentially increase litigation, and although New York can be a great place to build and grow a business, laws like this could make running or starting a business in the city more difficult.
