Littler Partners with AxisCare to Offer Home Care Toolkit to Clients

Partnership provides AxisCare customers with online resources that aid compliance with federal and state employment laws.

(December 10, 2019) – Littler, the world’s largest employment and labor law practice representing management, has entered into a partnership with AxisCare, a leading provider of nonmedical home care software, to provide its clients with resources for managing compliance and minimizing litigation risk.

Littler will provide AxisCare clients with its Home Care Toolkit, a web-based tool to help  companies comply with state and federal rules in the heavily regulated home care industry and to provide employers with informative guidelines and helpful forms and training materials. AxisCare clients will have access to materials covering the entire employment lifecycle, from onboarding to end of employment, as well as timesheets for live-in and hourly caregivers and compensation agreements for nonexempt employees and nonexempt live-in and extended shift caregivers.

“In the heavily regulated home care industry, it’s important that our agency clients are staying abreast of the pertinent federal and state regulations. We are excited to partner with Littler, the leading firm for labor and employment law, to bring our clients a wealth of information and resources to promote better business practices and manage risk and compliance,” said Todd Allen, AxisCare CEO.

Littler’s Home Care Toolkit will also provide AxisCare clients with access to model policies and forms related to travel time, remote work, time reporting, off-the-clock work and treatment of sleeping time. Other resources include a survey of state laws about home care companions and other domestic workers; training presentations on wage and hour issues; agency investigations and other areas impacting the industry; guidelines to help small businesses comply with federal employment laws; a summary of compensation options for non-exempt home care workers; and multistate Littler GPS Surveys providing updated tracking of state and federal employment laws.

“In the ever-evolving landscape of labor and employment law, this partnership with AxisCare will help its clients establish effective and efficient workplace policies in order to grow their businesses,” said Angelo Spinola, shareholder in Littler’s Atlanta office and the toolkit’s creator. “We’re thrilled with this opportunity to help AxisCare clients strengthen their compliance efforts and better manage litigation risk.”

The Littler Home Care Toolkit is part of the firm’s ongoing commitment to providing practical, innovative solutions to employers of all sizes in various industries. The firm’s forward-thinking approach has drawn accolades from major organizations that recognize legal innovation, including the Financial Times, National Law Journal, Association of Corporate Counsel, International Legal Technology Association, College of Law Practice Management and Fastcase 50.
