Littler Adds Shareholder William Foster and Opens Greenville, South Carolina Office

GREENVILLE, South Carolina (March 2, 2018) – Littler, the world’s largest employment and labor law practice representing management, is pleased to announce the opening of an office in Greenville, South Carolina, and the addition of William H. Foster as a founding shareholder of the office. Foster was previously a partner with Nelson Mullins Riley & Scarborough LLP, where he led the firm’s employment practice.

“With a growing client base in South Carolina, this new office will help us meet the local demand for high-quality employment law services in the region,” said Tom Bender and Jeremy Roth, co-managing directors of Littler, in a joint statement. “We are excited to add Bill, a veteran labor and employment lawyer, who will continue to extend our capabilities throughout the Southeast.”

Foster, a South Carolina native, has practiced law in the state for more than 20 years. His practice focuses on advising and defending employers on a wide range of issues, including human relations, occupational safety and health and employee benefits. He represents employers in claims of discrimination, retaliation and wrongful discharge; non-compete and trade secret matters; employee benefits litigation; breach of contract disputes; and corporate investigations. Foster defends clients in class action litigation matters and in federal and state courts in numerous industries, including financial services, retail, energy, healthcare, manufacturing, technology and transportation.

“Bill’s deep ties to the region and extensive experience counseling employers in a range of industries make him a great fit for our new Greenville office,” said Stephen D. Dellinger, who will serve as Greenville’s office managing shareholder while continuing to lead the firm’s Charlotte, North Carolina office. “We look forward to working with him to further strengthen our service to clients in South Carolina and nationwide.”

“Littler has a strong reputation for providing innovative legal solutions to employers’ pressing needs,” added Foster. “I am excited to leverage the firm’s vast resources to help expand its presence in the state.”

Foster has been recognized as a leading labor and employment lawyer by The Best Lawyers in America®, Chambers USA and South Carolina Super Lawyers each year for the past decade. He received his J.D., magna cum laude, from the University of South Carolina School of Law and his B.A. from Furman University.
