KANSAS CITY (April 6, 2026) – Littler, the world’s largest employment and labor law practice representing management, has added Shelley Ericsson as a shareholder in its Kansas City office. Ericsson joins the firm from Ogletree Deakins and brings more than 20 years of experience representing employers in complex workplace disputes and trial matters.

“Shelley’s reputation as a trusted employment litigator, advisor and natural leader in high-stakes matters will be invaluable to our clients as they confront an ever-changing employment and business landscape,” said Erin Webber, Littler’s managing director and president. “We are excited to welcome Shelley to the firm and are confident her experience and client-centric approach will further strengthen our already talented bench in Kansas City.”

Ericsson advises a diverse range of employers, from privately held and family-owned businesses to Fortune 100 companies, on a wide variety of employment laws. Her practice spans workplace investigations including matters arising under the Age Discrimination in Employment Act, Americans with Disabilities Act, Equal Employment Opportunity laws, the Family and Medical Leave Act, the Fair Labor Standards Act, the Genetic Information Nondiscrimination Act, Title VII of the Civil Rights Act and the Uniformed Services Employment and Reemployment Rights Act.

She regularly counsels clients on compliance issues related to hiring, termination and performance management and works closely with employers to develop strategies to resolve workplace disputes. Ericsson also brings a strong litigation track record, including first-chair experience, and guides clients through the full lifecycle of a case, from the administrative phase to jury trials.

“Shelley is a stellar addition to our Kansas City team,” said Daniel Boatright, Littler’s Kansas City office managing shareholder. “Her deep understanding of the local landscape, paired with her impressive ability to steer clients through their most challenging workplace matters and extensive litigation experience, will be immensely beneficial to our clients throughout the region and nationwide.”

For nearly 20 years, Ericsson has been recognized by her peers as a “Best of the Bar” honoree in labor and employment by the Kansas City Business Journal. She is a frequent speaker on labor and employment law and litigation matters and previously served as president and board member of the Association for Women Lawyers of Greater Kansas City.

“I’m proud to join a firm that is so steadfastly invested in both its clients and its people,” said Ericsson. “Littler’s globally recognized platform and singular focus on labor and employment law makes it the ideal place for me to continue advising employers on their most sophisticated workplace challenges.”

Ericsson received her J.D. from the University of Missouri-Kansas City School of Law, her M.S. from University of Denver Sturm College of Law, and her B.A., cum laude, from Missouri State University.
