ST. LOUIS (August 17, 2026) – Littler, the world's largest employment and labor law practice representing management, has appointed Jenny Schwendemann as its first Senior Associate General Counsel, Pro Bono. The newly created role underscores the firm's longstanding commitment to pro bono service, access to justice and community impact, while supporting key strategic priorities and opportunities for growth. Schwendemann previously served as Senior Director and Associate General Counsel – Risk Management and co-chair of the firm's Pro Bono Committee.

In this role, Schwendemann will support the Pro Bono Committee in leading Littler’s nationally recognized pro bono program, partnering with firm leadership to further integrate pro bono service into the firm’s culture. The position also reflects growing opportunities to collaborate with corporate clients on meaningful pro bono initiatives.

"Having served as co-chair of the firm’s Pro Bono Committee, Jenny has played a pivotal role in building and growing the firm’s pro bono program. Her vision, leadership and unwavering commitment to service make her exceptionally qualified to lead this next chapter," said Marti Downey, Littler's Chief Legal Officer and General Counsel. "As our first dedicated Pro Bono Counsel, Jenny will help expand our reach, strengthen engagement across the firm and deepen collaboration with clients through meaningful pro bono partnerships."

Schwendemann has been a driving force behind expanding opportunities for attorneys across the firm to volunteer their time and talents in service to those in need of legal assistance. Her appointment reflects Littler's continued investment in pro bono work as a core part of the firm's values and mission.

"I am excited by the opportunity to help build on the strong foundation already established and to lead the continued evolution of Littler’s pro bono program," said Schwendemann. "The need for pro bono representation has never been greater and with our talented lawyers, broad geographic reach and strong client relationships, Littler is uniquely positioned to help address that need. Together with our Pro Bono Committee, we have an incredible opportunity to expand engagement, strengthen strategic partnerships and create even more meaningful pathways to service."
