CLEVELAND, OHIO (January 6, 2026) – Littler, the world’s largest employment and labor law practice representing management, has added David Kaufman as senior counsel in its Cleveland office.

"We are thrilled to welcome David to Littler and our Cleveland team,” said Ryan J. Morley, Cleveland’s office managing shareholder. “David has a tremendous breadth of experience and proven track record of navigating complex employment issues. His more than two decades of law firm and in-house experience will be an invaluable asset to our clients.”

Kaufman brings more than 20 years of experience advising employers on complex workplace issues and litigation. Most recently, he served in-house at Flynn Group, one of the nation’s largest franchisees. Prior to that, Kaufman was a partner at Calfee, Halter & Griswold LLP.

In addition to his litigation work, he counsels employers on all aspects of the employment relationship, drafts key agreements and policies, conducts workplace investigations, and provides guidance on compliance with Title VII, FMLA, ADA, ADEA, NLRA and other employment laws. He also advises on employment-related due diligence in mergers and acquisitions and frequently presents on emerging workplace trends.

“I’m excited to join Littler’s Cleveland office and contribute to the firm’s reputation as the leading law firm in labor and employment law,” Kaufman said. “Throughout my career, I’ve focused on helping employers navigate complex workplace issues with practical, business-focused solutions. I have long admired Littler and joining a firm I respect and one that fosters an innovative approach and collaborative culture will allow me to deliver even greater value to clients throughout Ohio and beyond.”

In addition to his legal practice, Kaufman is deeply committed to community service and leadership. He currently serves on the Board of Trustees for Temple Emanu El and previously spent nearly a decade on the Board of Trustees for the Shaker Lakes Nature Center. Kaufman also volunteers his time as an attorney with the Legal Aid Society of Cleveland, where he is recognized as an Honor Society Member for his contributions.

Kaufman earned his J.D. from Emory University School of Law and his B.A. from Georgetown University.
