Mattheus Stephens has more than 30 years of trial and litigation experience. He focuses his practice on helping clients navigate the lifecycle of employment litigation with a focus on defending against claims of discrimination, particularly those relating to gender and disability. He also counsels clients on wage and hour matters, conducts workplace investigations, and provides trainings on preventing discrimination and harassment, including gender and LGBTQ+ training.
Mattheus is a frequent speaker on employment and diversity related topics. He has served as a continuing lecturer at UCSD since 1999 and also served as an adjunct professor at California Western School of Law.
