Jennifer S. Kim represents employers in employment litigation and provides strategic advice and counsel on workplace issues and compliance with federal, state, and local laws, especially in New York.

Jennifer has significant experience defending employers in wage and hour class and collective actions, including matters involving overtime claims, misclassification, and prevailing wage issues. She has played a key role in resolving nationwide class and collective action matters, helping clients mitigate substantial potential exposure. Her experience includes negotiating settlements on behalf of global and national companies facing tens of millions of dollars in alleged liability. Jennifer regularly manages and supports the defense of employment litigation in state and federal courts, as well as complaints brought to federal, state, and local administrative agencies, with respect to cases involving claims of wage and hour violations, discrimination, harassment, and retaliation.

In addition to her litigation practice, Jennifer provides day to day advice and counsel to employers on a broad range of workplace issues. She advises clients on reasonable accommodation requests, including those arising from return-to-work policies, and assists employers in navigating evolving employment laws and regulatory requirements. Jennifer also has experience drafting and revising employee handbooks for compliance with new laws and industry specific best practices.

Jennifer brings a practical, detail-oriented approach to her work and partners closely with clients to develop efficient strategies tailored to their business priorities.

Jennifer’s interest in labor and employment law stems from her past experiences at the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC) and National Labor Relations Board (NLRB), and working for law firms focusing on labor and employment prior to joining Littler. As a fluent Korean language speaker, Jennifer has attracted and helped Korean-speaking clients at Littler and throughout her legal career.
