Jamie Haar represents employers in a wide range of labor and employment matters. Her work includes defending against claims of discrimination, harassment, retaliation, wage and hour violations, and unpaid incentive compensation. She handles cases in federal and state courts, in arbitration, and before agencies at the federal, state, and local levels. She has also argued appeals in both New York’s federal and state appellate courts.
Jamie regularly advises clients on a range of topics, including predictive scheduling, reasonable accommodations, sick leave laws, reductions in force, WARN compliance, and the New York City Fair Workweek Law, as well as new developments in the law. She has experience revising handbooks and workplace policies, drafting separation and severance agreements, conducting workplace training sessions, and defending matters with the New York City Department of Consumer and Worker Protection. She also has defended clients in matters involving access for individuals with disabilities under Title III of the Americans with Disabilities Act, with regard to both architectural and website accessibility.
Prior to joining Littler, Jamie was of counsel with an international labor and employment law firm.
Jamie was the managing editor of articles for the Hofstra Labor and Employment Law Journal during law school, and was co-captain of her college tennis team.
