What You Need to Know About Flex Work, Telecommuting and Other Alternative Work Arrangements
Wednesday, September 14
- 7:00 AM PDT
Flexible work schedules, telecommuting and other alternative working arrangements (“Flex Work”) are no longer the workplace of tomorrow; rather, they are here today. Many of the world’s largest companies already offer Flex Work to employees and, in order to stay competitive, more and more companies join their ranks every day.
Despite its prevalence, many employers still hold to what can be legally costly myths about Flex Work. This session will debunk many of these myths and explore the realities of how, when, and where work is done. This session will address the importance of properly designing, implementing, and supporting Flex Work and the legal implications involved in doing so. In debunking these myths, this session will also discuss how businesses implementing Flex Work can protect their confidential and proprietary business information and remain compliant with current employment laws, including wage and hour and discrimination laws.
The rapid growth of Flex Work makes it essential that all employers understand the legal exposure associated with how Flex Work is executed and implement appropriate policies and practices to mitigate that potential exposure. We hope you can join us for this informative and important program.
Speakers will include shareholders John Bauer, Amy Ventry-Kagan and Randy Gidseg from Littler's
Melville office.
