Nine Littler Lawyers Top the List of U.S. Labor Attorneys

San Francisco, CA/ August 4, 2008 -- Littler Mendelson (Littler), the nation’s largest labor and employment law firm focused exclusively on representing employers, is pleased to announce that the Labor Relations Institute, Inc. (LRI) has recognized nine Littler attorneys to be among the “Top One Hundred Labor Attorneys” in the United States for 2008, placing them at the top one percent of all labor attorneys.

Shareholders Fred Schwartz of Chicago; Andrew Meyer of Cleveland; Mark Robbins of Los Angeles; Alan Model, David Rosen and Tedd Kochman of Newark; Howard Rubin of Portland; and Ron Holland and John Skonberg of San Francisco were selected from more than 8,900 labor attorneys who have represented clients in union representation matters since 1995.

The Labor Relations Institute provides employee communications products and sophisticated database and deep intelligence services, allowing companies to secure everything required to monitor their risk of unionization, build positive employee relations, train supervisors, and if necessary, run a campaign.

“The number of Littler shareholders named among the top one hundred labor attorneys demonstrates the firm's knowledge and excellence in labor relations,” said Marko Mrkonich, president and managing director of the firm. “The combination of our collective experience and commitment to client service has enabled Littler to represent management successfully and develop highly effective and innovative strategies for union-related matters. It has allowed Littler to lead the way in labor law.”

The Top One Hundred Labor Attorneys were identified by determining the number of National Labor Relations Board (NLRB) elections in which each attorney provided representation and the success of those election outcomes. They must have represented clients in a substantial volume of representation elections during the last ten years and maintained a win rate in excess of 50 percent.
