American businesses are spending billions of dollars annually on “unconscious bias" training, with millions more being invested in new talent-focused software products designed specifically to address bias. Despite earnest efforts to address implicit bias, we are still not getting it right. Bias training has not, in and of itself, “fixed" workplace diversity challenges. In this candid session, the presenters will address the reasons efforts on this issue fail, expose pitfalls and explore workable bias-management strategies.
