It is 2018, and wage and hour issues continue to be a hot topic for employers doing business in the Island. Are you an employer covered by the Fair Labor Standards Act provisions and/or Puerto Rico’s wage and hour statutes? Are you up-to-date with the changes to local wage and hour statutes brought on by the PR Labor Transformation and Flexibility Act of January 26, 2017 (LTFA)? Are you concerned about the interplay of Puerto Rico’s wage and hour statutes as amended by the LTFA with other wage and hour regulations, such as the almost extinct Mandatory Decrees?
