Preparing The Groundwork To Enforce Non-competes

The scenario is all too common. An employee leaves to work for a competitor, an executive demands that you "do something" to protect the company, you dust off the former employee's noncompetition agreement, and you and outside counsel then play catch-up, trying to leverage a settlement with, or enforce, restrictive covenants that are out of date, overbroad, and poorly tailored to the interest you are trying to protect.

It doesn't have to be this way. We will discuss each phase of a dispute to enforce post-employment restrictions, analyzing the obstacles employers typically face and explaining how to avoid those obstacles in the first place.
