This in-depth practical session will highlight real-world examples of employer missteps as well as cutting-edge solutions that can enable more efficient paths to the correct leave and accommodation answers. A review of practice and policy approaches will cover mistakes and missed opportunities we continue to see in FMLA handbook language; how to ensure that leave, accommodation and disability benefit decisions do not work at cross purposes; and how best to tackle repeated requests to extend ADA leave.
