Balancing Title IX Compliance with CBA Enforcement

Higher education institutions with unionized employees must navigate compliance with both Title IX and their collective bargaining agreements (CBA). In a recent decision from the New Jersey Supreme Court, Rutgers v. AFSCME Local 888, the Court refused to enforce CBA grievance procedures that conflicted with Title IX requirements.
