Last year our Littler New Hiring and Background Checks Practice Group reported on the spike in Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA) class actions against employers across the country in various industries, an increase in class action filings that we predicted back in 2011.

In 2015, the fierce onslaught against employers continues, and so mitigating FCRA risk is, and will remain, an important action item for any employer that uses background checks to make hiring and personnel decisions.

Our presenters, who have significant, hands-on experience litigating FCRA cases across the U.S., will review essential FCRA requirements and identify opportunities to fortify FCRA compliance, and therefore mitigate class action risk.
