Littler Names Bruce Millman New York Office Managing Shareholder

NEW YORK, NY (September 30, 2013) –Littler Mendelson, P.C. (Littler), the world’s largest employment and labor law firm representing management, has named Bruce Millman office managing shareholder (OMS) of its New York City office. Effective Jan. 1, 2014, Millman will take over the post from Craig Benson, who will return full time to his growing employment litigation practice.

“Craig has done an excellent job in leading one of the firm’s largest offices, and we thank him for his service,” Tom Bender and Jeremy Roth, co-managing directors of Littler, said in a joint statement. “We are excited to have Bruce assume the OMS role. A Littler attorney for more than seven years, Millman has an extensive experience counseling private and public sector employers on business and personnel strategies. His practice focuses on business restructuring, wage and hour and New York employment law issues, labor management relations, discrimination and harassment, employment policies, performance management and termination and litigation strategies. He is a frequent lecturer on public and private sector labor and employment law matters for a wide range of professional and legal organizations, including the American Bar Association and the New York State Bar Association, and others.

In addition to his successful practice, Millman is active within the firm, serving on committees for the Corporate Compliance and Business Restructuring practice groups. He also participates in the International Labor, Traditional Labor and Healthcare practice groups and various firm administrative committees. He is a fellow of the College of Labor and Employment Lawyers and has also earned industry recognition as a leading labor and employment attorney. Millman has been included on such prestigious lists as the International Who’s Who of Management Labour and Employment Lawyers (Who’s Who Legal), The Best Lawyers in America, Who’s Who in American Law and New York Metro Super Lawyers. He is a former chair of the Labor & Employment Law Section of the New York State Bar Association.

Millman is also a member of the American Bar Association, the New York Bar Foundation, the Nassau County Bar Association and the Labor Employment Relations Association. He received his J.D. from Columbia University (1973) and his A.B. from Princeton University (1970).
