Melissa Friedland represents employer clients in all aspects of litigation in both federal and state courts, including but not limited to cases arising under the Fair Labor Standards Act, Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), New York State Labor Law, Title VII of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, as well as the State and City Human Rights Laws, including both single-plaintiff and class and collective actions.

She defends companies against employment-related charges and claims before administrative agenices, including the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, the New York State Division of Human Rights and the New York City Commission on Human Rights.

Melissa represents public accommodations in all facets of Title III litigation and counseling, including but not limited to matters involving issues relating to architectural barriers, website accessibility and other forms of effective communication. She also assists clients in drafting employment handbooks and policies.
