TUNISIA: Government Measures to Address COVID-19

In order to cope with the economic crisis that has followed the spread of the coronavirus (Covid-19), which has officially infected 822 people in Tunisia as of April 17, 2020, the Parliament has enabled the Head of Government to issue emergency ordinances for a period of two months starting from April 12, 2020.  Several ordinances have already been adopted to limit the economic and social impact of the crisis and to assist companies during this period. The broad outlines of those measures are discussed in this article.
