Due to the high percentage of romantic relationships in the workplace, human resources departments are faced with a variety of potential risks to which this situation exposes their organizations, such as the rise in sexual harassment claims. One method of managing office dating, which several organizations are using, is the love contract. "The idea behind the love contracts is they document the relationship is a willing, consensual relationship and not sexual harassment," says Stephen Tedesco of Littler's San Francisco office.
