Littler Welcomes Back Kyllan Kershaw as a Shareholder in Atlanta

ATLANTA, GA (October 31, 2022) – Littler, the world’s largest employment and labor law practice representing management, has added Kyllan B. Kershaw as a shareholder in its Atlanta office. Kershaw, who was an associate at Littler from 2012 to 2016, returns to the firm from Seyfarth Shaw, where she was national vice chair of the Labor Management Relations practice. She is the 16th shareholder-level addition to Littler since July and the fourth shareholder to rejoin the firm in that time.

“We are excited to welcome Kyllan back in what has been a year of significant lateral growth for the firm,” said Erin Webber, Littler’s managing director and president. “Having an established traditional labor practice, she is a trusted counselor to employers in navigating the myriad forces transforming the workplace today and will be an excellent complement to our deep bench of labor management lawyers.”

Kershaw focuses her practice on labor management relations, working to achieve optimal outcomes for employers in collective bargaining negotiations, election campaigns, labor arbitrations, and labor-related litigation before the National Labor Relations Board. She also conducts union vulnerability assessments and workplace investigations, provides positive employee relations training, and assists clients in employment-related issues that arise in corporate transactions, bankruptcies and restructurings.

“Managing labor relations issues has become increasingly challenging for employers in a competitive talent market and amid economic uncertainty, rapid advancements in technology, and the recent rise in unionization efforts,” said Brad Strawn, Littler’s Atlanta office managing shareholder. “Kyllan is exactly the type of lawyer that employers look to for legal and practical guidance on these complex, high-stakes issues. She will be a terrific addition to our team here in Atlanta and across the firm.”

Kershaw represents employers in a range of industries, including transportation clients. She has significant experience representing airlines in arbitrations, negotiations under Section 6 of the Railway Labor Act and other airline-related labor matters. Outside of her legal practice, she serves as an advisory board member of the Atlanta Humane Society, having previously served on the Board of Directors and as chair of the Governance Committee. Kershaw is also a member of the host committee for Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta’s annual Monster Mash fundraiser benefiting the Marcus Autism Center.

“Littler has built an impressive firm from which to counsel employers on the full-range of issues they face in the new world of work,” Kershaw said. “Just as importantly to me, they’re equally impressive when it comes to inclusion, equity and diversity. With numerous women in leadership positions, including Managing Director Erin Webber and Chair of the Board Kate Mrkonich Wilson, the firm is truly walking the walk when it comes to IE&D. Littler not only provides an excellent platform for me to serve and expand my client base, but it’s also a firm whose people and culture make me excited to come to work each day.”

Littler is regularly recognized as a top firm for women and for its commitment to IE&D. The firm recently received Gold Standard Certification for the 12th consecutive year from the Women in Law Empowerment Forum; Mansfield Rule 5.0 Certification Plus from Diversity Lab; and the prestigious 2022 Thomas L. Sager Award for Top Labor & Employment Law Firm from the Minority Corporate Counsel Association. Earlier this year, the firm was once again recognized as a Ceiling Smasher by Law360 for having the highest representation of women in its equity partnerships among large law firms.

Kershaw earned her J.D., cum laude, from the University of Georgia School of Law and her B.A., magna cum laude, from the University of Georgia.
