Littler Welcomes Back Joycelyn Stevenson as Office Managing Shareholder in Nashville

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (December 5, 2022) – Littler, the world’s largest employment and labor law practice representing management, is pleased to announce that Joycelyn Stevenson has returned to the firm as office managing shareholder in Nashville.

Stevenson, who most recently served as executive director of the Tennessee Bar Association (TBA), spent 2013 to 2017 at Littler. She succeeds Bradley Strawn, who has been overseeing the Nashville office in addition to the Atlanta office and will continue to serve as the firm’s Atlanta office managing shareholder. Stevenson’s arrival marks the 17th shareholder-level addition to Littler since July and the fifth shareholder to rejoin the firm in that time.

“We couldn’t be more thrilled to be welcoming Joycelyn back to the Nashville office,” said Erin Webber, Littler’s managing director and president. “Her depth of experience and tenure at the TBA give her a unique perspective, along with statewide connections that will be a substantial asset to our team. A special thanks to Brad for his leadership of the Nashville office and we look forward to his ongoing contributions as he continues to lead our efforts in Atlanta.”

As the TBA’s executive director, Stevenson focused her talents towards how best to serve its more than 12,000 members, board of governors and the Tennessee Legal Community Foundation. She successfully led the association through important changes including the sale of its downtown headquarters, rebranding and key improvements to its operations and infrastructure. Prior to joining the TBA, Stevenson was a shareholder at Littler where she represented employers in litigation and arbitration and conducted strategic risk analyses of business decisions related to human resource management for companies of all sizes. She also conducted high level workplace investigations and provided extensive training to clients on anti-discrimination laws and respect in the workplace.

“I’m excited to rejoin Littler and collaborate with my former colleagues and the firm’s array of skilled attorneys,” Stevenson said. “It’s an honor to take the helm of the Nashville office, and I look forward to drawing on my management experience at the TBA to further build upon the successes of the office while continuing to showcase what makes Littler such a great firm – including its commitment to inclusion to its innovative solutions for clients.”

Stevenson currently serves as Vice Chair of the Metropolitan Nashville Airport Authority and recently served as President Elect of the National Association of Bar Executives. She is a past president of both the Nashville Bar Association and the Lawyers’ Association for Women - Marion Griffin Chapter. Stevenson received her J.D. from Vanderbilt University Law School and her B.A. from Howard University.
