Littler Mendelson Enhances Detroit Presence with Addition of Gary Ankers

Detroit, MI/ Jan. 6, 2009 -- Littler Mendelson, PLC (Littler), a wholly owned subsidiary of Littler Mendelson, P.C., the nation’s largest labor and employment law firm representing management, is pleased to announce the arrival of its newest shareholder, Gary Ankers, formerly of Dickinson Wright, to the firm’s Detroit office.

Ankers’ depth of experience consists of counseling and representing employers in a wide range of labor and employment matters. He has defended employment lawsuits and administrative claims in various courts and administrative agencies throughout the United States, conducted employment law training and seminars and provided advice and counsel on traditional labor law issues, including union avoidance, organizing and collective bargaining. His practice is highly focused on alternative dispute resolution, corporate governance and labor relations. As a shareholder in Littler’s Detroit office, Ankers continues his focus in these areas.

Prior to joining Littler, Ankers was a partner at the Detroit office of Dickinson Wright, where he practiced labor and employment law. He received his J.D. from the University of Detroit Mercy School of Law in 1988 and his A.B. from the University of Michigan in 1985. Ankers is licensed to practice in Michigan, Ohio and Washington, D.C.
