Littler Continues Expansion Into Midwest With The Opening Of Milwaukee Office

San Francisco , CA/ April 2, 2009 -- Littler Mendelson, P.C. (Littler), the nation's largest employment and labor law firm representing management, announced today the opening of its newest office in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. This addition increases Littler's nationwide number of offices to 47 and introduces new Milwaukee shareholder Jon Levine. The new location continues Littler's expansion in the Midwest and enhances their ability to provide labor and employment services to companies throughout the region.

"The Milwaukee office will enable Littler to provide comprehensive services to the City's well-established manufacturing, healthcare, retail and financial services industries, and other companies throughout Wisconsin in need of complex labor and employment legal solutions," said Marko Mrkonich, president and managing director of the Firm.

Levine brings to Littler significant expertise representing employers in employment litigation in state and federal courts and before the National Labor Relations Board, as well as collective bargaining, labor arbitration and union avoidance.

"Jon is a very welcome addition to the Littler Mendelson team. He is a highly qualified labor and employment lawyer and an enterprising individual who is committed to delivering innovative solutions to his clients," said Mrkonich. "The addition of Jon and the opening of the Milwaukee office reaffirms Littler's commitment to delivering the highest level of service to our clients throughout Wisconsin and the Midwest," he added.

Among his numerous accolades, Levine has been honored multiple times by Chambers USA as a leading Labor and Employment Attorney. He has also been recognized in The Best Lawyers in America for the past three years and was named as one of the "Top 100 Labor Attorneys in the United States" by the Labor Relations Institute, Inc., which placed him in the top one percent of labor attorneys in the U.S. and as one of the most active attorneys representing companies in elections monitored by the National Labor Relations Board.

"I look forward to joining Littler and to working with this outstanding group of labor and employment attorneys," said Levine. "The Firm's superior knowledge base and depth of resources will help me more effectively serve my existing clients while allowing Littler to deliver its unsurpassed labor and employment services to more clients throughout the Midwest," he added.

Initial reaction to Littler's new presence in Milwaukee has been very positive, according to Levine, largely due to the growing employment and labor demands of businesses in this region. "There's a lot of work for us here, so I anticipate steady, solid growth for this office," he said.

Prior to joining Littler, Levine was a partner with Michael Best & Friedrich LLP, where he practiced labor and employment law. He received his J.D. from Georgetown University and his B.A. from the University of Madison-Wisconsin. He is admitted to practice before the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Wisconsin and the U.S. Courts of Appeals for the Fourth and Seventh Circuits.
