Littler Attracts New Attorney to Growing Nashville Office

NASHVILLE, TN (August 19, 2013) - Littler Mendelson, P.C. (Littler), the world’s largest employment and labor law firm representing management, continues the expansion of its Nashville office with the addition of Rodrick D. Holmes from Ogletree Deakins. Holmes, who joins as an associate, is the latest addition to the office following two lateral attorney hires earlier this year. Brian Clifford joined Littler in June and Shareholder Joycelyn Stevenson came on board in February. The Nashville office, which opened in 2011 with just two lawyers, now boasts a total of nine attorneys with Holmes’ arrival.

“The Nashville office continues to attract high-quality talent and we are pleased to add Rod to our growing list of standout lawyers,” said Jennifer Robinson, office managing shareholder of the firm’s Nashville office. “We are committed to providing clients with world-class legal services and recruiting top-notch attorneys is part of our overall strategy to accomplish that goal.”

With a practice focused on employment litigation, Holmes represents companies on a broad range of labor and employment issues. He has experience litigating claims on the federal, state and local levels on such issues as discrimination, harassment, retaliation, wrongful discharge, restrictive covenant violations, Title VII, wage and hour violations, and other aspects of the employee-employer relationship. In addition to his employment litigation experience, Holmes’ background includes general litigation defense work.

Holmes is active in a number of professional organizations, including, the American Bar Association, National Bar Association and the Ben F. Jones Chapter of the National Bar Association. He also serves on the Alumni Board for the University of Arkansas School Of Law and is a Board Member for the Memphis Area Legal Services.
