Experienced Attorney Corrie Fischel Conway Joins Littler Mendelson's Washington, D.C. Office

WASHINGTON, D.C. (November 2, 2010) – Littler Mendelson, P.C. (Littler), the nation's largest employment and labor law firm representing management, announced today the addition of Corrie Fischel Conway as a shareholder to its Washington, D.C. office.

Conway's experience prior to joining Littler includes her position as of counsel at Morgan, Lewis & Bockius LLP in their labor and employment practice, in addition to serving as senior policy advisor to the assistant secretary for the Employment Standards Administration at the U.S. Department of Labor (DOL). In that capacity, she primarily assisted with matters related to policy and program development for the Wage and Hour Division and the Office of Federal Contract Compliance Programs. Most notably, she was part of the team that developed the revised Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) "white collar" regulations issued by the DOL in April 2004. While at the DOL, she also worked closely with the Wage and Hour Division on issues related to the Family and Medical Leave Act (FMLA).

"We are so pleased to welcome Corrie to the firm," said Nancy N. Delogu, office managing shareholder of Littler's Washington, D.C. office. "Her Department of Labor background, coupled with her extensive law firm experience, make her the perfect addition for our office during a time of tremendous growth."

While in private practice, Conway regularly counseled employers on all aspects of the employment relationship, with a particular focus on assisting employers with FLSA and state wage and hour audits. She also focused her practice on counseling employers on FMLA and the Americans with Disabilities Act compliance. In addition, she previously served as assistant general counsel and secretary for the Equal Employment Advisory Council, a national nonprofit association of private-sector employers that was established to promote sound approaches to the elimination of discrimination in employment.

Conway is a nationally recognized speaker on FMLA and wage and hour issues. She regularly presents for the National Employment Law Institute and Thompson Publishing. She also has written numerous articles on employment law topics and is a member of the editorial board for Thompson Publishing's FMLA newsletter.

"I am thrilled to be joining the nation's top labor and employment law firm," said Conway. "I look forward utilizing the geographic platform that Littler provides to both expand my practice and provide my clients with the best labor and employment representation."

Conway received her J.D. from George Washington University Law School and B.S. from Dickinson College cum laude. She is admitted to practice in the District of Columbia bar, and the Maryland and Pennsylvania state bars.
