OFCCP Proposed Rule Criticized on Capitol Hill

This article describes testimony before the U.S. House Education & the Workforce Committee’s Subcommittee on Health, Employment, Labor, & Pensions regarding regulations proposed by the Office of Federal Contract Compliance Programs (OFCCP). In her testimony before the Committee, Littler attorney Alissa Horvitz stated that the OFCCP has an important mission but is discouraging potential federal contractors by proposing unduly burdensome rules, which include a proposed rule that would require that persons with disabilities have at least 7 percent of jobs with federal contractors and subcontractors.
