Mark Ogden Encourages Employers to Get a Head Start on Immigration Laws

Littler's Mark Ogden in quoted in this article on how employers should screen their companies for undocumented workers once the state's new get-tough law goes into effect Jan. 1. Ogden believes employers should prepare in advance, by beginning to use the federal internet-based system, Basic Pilot, before it is required by law. "If they get audited," says Ogden, "that's what they'll have to do. If a state investigator comes in, that's what they'll want to see."
