E-Verify mandate about to hit Ga. Businesses

This article provides an analysis of E-Verify, the online federal work authorization program that determines the immigration status of new hires, and its implications for Georgia businesses. Of the larger businesses in Georgia, Littler attorney Ian Macdonald says, “they’ve already had to deploy E-Verify due to other state laws, [because] they have federal contracts in place or they’ve decided that it’s a best business practice.”
