In this article, Littler shareholder Helene Wasserman provides insight on new California legislation aimed at presenting pregnant women with employment and insurance protections. The article discusses the effects the legislation will have on current state laws, as well as the implications for both employers and insurance providers. Wasserman writes, “The passage of these pregnancy-related insurance coverage amendments will have a staggering impact on employers, particularly employers with fewer than 50 employees, especially in these troubling economic times.”
