Overview

Tara Porterfield is an employment attorney with extensive litigation and counseling experience including class and collective action litigation and appellate work. She has experience with a wide array of federal and state laws applicable to the employment relationship, including discrimination, wage and hour issues, independent contractor classification, and leave and accommodation issues. Tara also has significant experience in the preparation, implementation, and enforcement of arbitration agreements and programs.

Tara is board certified in labor and employment law by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization.

Before joining Littler, Tara practiced employment law at an international full-service firm. She also served as a judicial law clerk for retired judge Hon. Stephen S. Trott of the United States Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit. During law school, she was an articles editor for the Texas Law Review.
