Stephanie A. Kierig
Stephanie A. Kierig has over a decade of experience practicing labor and employment law in California. Her practice encompasses a broad range of employment matters, including single-plaintiff, class, and representative actions, as well as traditional labor law on behalf of management. She partners with clients to develop tailored, strategic approaches to complex workplace issues and litigation.
Stephanie began her career at a boutique labor firm, where she represented unions, public employee associations, and their members in negotiations for collective bargaining agreements and memoranda of understanding, as well as in state and federal courts, arbitration, civil service commission hearings, and before administrative agencies such as the National Labor Relations Board (NLRB), Public Employment Relations Board (PERB), and Merit Systems Protection Board (MSPB). In that role, she also served as general counsel to several labor organizations, advising on day-to-day employment issues, conducting internal workplace investigations, and defending matters before administrative and courts, including the California Civil Rights Department (CRD), California Division of Labor Standards Enforcement (DLSE), and U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC). This experience informs her approach to advising employers on labor relations, dispute resolution, and collective bargaining.
Before joining Littler, Stephanie practiced at a national employment firm, where she expanded her focus to include defense of single-plaintiff litigation, wage and hour class actions, and PAGA representative actions.
Stephanie worked full-time as a paralegal and law clerk while attending law school in the evenings, gaining early, practical experience in state and federal litigation, labor arbitrations, and administrative hearings.
In addition to her practice, Stephanie is committed to community service. She provides pro bono representation as a court-appointed attorney for active duty service members and supports local animal rescue organizations with general business matters.
