Stephanie Baldwin advises and represents employers in employment litigation, administrative proceedings, workplace investigations, and compliance matters involving discrimination, harassment, retaliation, disability accommodation, leave management, wrongful termination, wage and hour issues, and workplace safety concerns.

In addition, Stephanie develops and delivers workplace training for executives, managers, supervisors, and human resources professionals on employment law compliance, workplace investigations, accommodations, leave management, performance management, documentation, harassment prevention, and workplace safety.

Prior to joining Littler, she primarily represented public-sector employers, including government agencies, school districts, and universities, in employment matters while with a Phoenix-area law firm. Her practice included conducting workplace investigations, providing employment law training, advising clients on personnel and compliance issues, responding to and defending EEOC charges, and representing employers in administrative proceedings and litigation. Because many of her clients were public entities, Stephanie also handled matters involving constitutional and public-employment issues, including First Amendment and other constitutional protections applicable to government employees.

Stephanie brings an insider’s understanding of the workplace to her employment litigation practice. Before becoming an attorney, she spent more than 20 years making and managing employment decisions, experience that now informs her counsel to employers, workplace training, and defense of employment claims. Stephanie held human resources and leadership roles with Fortune 100 companies. She also spent nearly 10 years with a privately owned nonprofit zoo in human resources leadership roles, ultimately serving as director of human resources.

She maintains both her Professional in Human Resources (PHR) and SHRM Certified Professional (SHRM-CP) credentials.

Since 2013, she has also served as a faculty associate at Arizona State University, teaching graduate-level courses in strategic human resources and nonprofit law.

While in law school, Stephanie interned with the EEOC, worked as a law clerk with Littler, served as a limited-practice prosecutor, completed a summer associate position with a Phoenix-area law firm, and was editor in chief of the Arizona Law Journal of Emerging Technologies.
