Overview

Sarah Sorensen is a member of the Littler CaseSmart® team and is based in California. She is responsible for early case evaluation (ECE). At the outset of each employment litigation matter, she identifies and reviews pertinent documents, interviews relevant witnesses, and drafts an ECE report for clients’ cases. In keeping with each client’s litigation philosophy, she partners with the local Littler litigation team and assists in developing and executing strategies for effectively handling litigation.

Prior to joining Littler, Sarah practiced as a litigation attorney in Southern California. She defended clients in the areas of tort and general liability, medical malpractice, and employment. She handled cases at all stages of litigation, from initial investigation through post-trial and appellate practice. Sarah has litigated hundreds of cases during her time as an attorney.

Most recently, Sarah was a senior associate at a boutique employment firm where she developed and directed litigation strategy for wage and hour, discrimination, retaliation, and other employment matters, which included both single plaintiff and class action/representative lawsuits. Prior to that, Sarah was at an insurance defense firm for approximately five and a half years, where she developed a knack for accurately and quickly assessing liability, exposure, and case “worth.”

During her practice, Sarah developed extensive knowledge of California civil practice and procedure, particularly in the areas of discovery and law and motion. She argued in hotly contested discovery and dispositive motions, obtaining overwhelmingly successful results, which advanced her clients’ interests throughout the litigation process. She also focused on early and innovative case resolution, obtaining favorable settlement through diligent negotiation and mediation.
