Ronak Patel

Ronak Patel concentrates his practice on employment litigation and dispute resolution, representing employers in a broad range of workplace matters, including single-plaintiff litigation, wage and hour class actions, and Private Attorneys General Act (PAGA) claims. He regularly defends employers in state and federal courts and before administrative agencies in matters involving discrimination, harassment, retaliation, and wage and hour disputes, and advises clients on compliance with federal and California employment laws. 

Ronak has significant experience managing matters through all phases of litigation, from early case assessment and discovery through resolution, including handling demand letters, arbitrations, and class and representative actions. Drawing on his background representing employees earlier in his career, Ronak brings a practical and strategic perspective to advising employers on risk mitigation, compliance strategies, and dispute resolution. In addition to his litigation practice, Ronak provides pre-litigation advice and counsel to employers, including drafting and revising employee handbooks and workplace policies, conducting wage and hour audits, and handling administrative claims before agencies such as the Civil Rights Department, EEOC, and DLSE.

Ronak works with a diverse range of employers, from large, multinational organizations to mid-sized and emerging businesses, across industries such as retail, e-commerce, healthcare, technology, transportation and logistics, financial services, hospitality, manufacturing, and professional services. He provides practical, business-focused counsel tailored to each client’s operational needs, particularly in high-risk wage and hour matters, complex class and representative actions, and fast-paced litigation environments.

Prior to joining Littler, Ronak built more than a decade of experience representing clients in complex employment matters. He most recently served as an associate attorney at a national law firm, where he represented employers in litigation involving class and representative wage and hour claims, discrimination, and wrongful termination, while advising on compliance with federal and multi-state labor laws and managing proceedings before administrative agencies. He previously served as senior legal counsel at a boutique firm, where he led litigation involving wage and hour class actions, PAGA claims, and discrimination, harassment, retaliation, and related disputes, while also counseling employers on employment agreements, workplace policies, and internal compliance audits designed to mitigate risk. Earlier in his career, Ronak practiced at other firms where he handled employment and commercial litigation matters, prepared cases for trial, and represented plaintiffs in employment disputes, and also served as an attorney and agent in the sports industry, negotiating contracts, advising clients on collective bargaining agreements, and assisting with intellectual property and branding strategies.
