Renee S. Schuldt represents and counsels management clients on labor and employment law matters.
Renee helps employers of all sizes develop clear, practical, and legally sound employee handbooks and workplace policies. Her litigation practice centers on defending employers against claims involving discrimination, harassment, retaliation, wage and hour violations, and other employment-related claims. She represents employers in state and federal courts, arbitration proceedings, and before administrative agencies such as the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission and the Department of Labor. Renee frequently handles matters arising under Title VII of the Civil Rights Act, the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA), and a range of other federal and state employment laws.
Renee brings a well-rounded perspective to workplace disputes. Early in her career, she represented individuals in employment matters. This background gives Renee a valuable understanding of what claimants are often seeking and how they approach a conflict at work. With this perspective, Renee helps employers navigate sensitive situations and develop strategies that are both practical and effective.
During law school, Renee served as a legal extern to the Hon. Mark Lindsay of the Fourth Judicial Circuit of the State of Arkansas, and a summer intern at the U.S. Department of Labor Regional Solicitor's Office in Dallas. She was also a student attorney for the Civil Litigation and Advocacy Clinic in Fayetteville, Arkansas. She also was elected to representative positions on the Student Bar Association, Honor Council, and Women Law Student Association.
Renee is a member of Attorneys Serving the Community (ASC), a volunteer organization of attorneys, judges, and law students. Through ASC, Renee helps champion the causes of nonprofit organizations in Dallas-Fort Worth that benefit women, children, and families. Renee also advises and mentors college students in her free time.
