Oscar Andres Bustos’s practice encompasses a broad range of labor and employment law matters. Oscar brings more than a decade of litigation experience, with a strong background in public entity defense.
He leads case strategy from case inception through resolution, including early liability evaluation, litigation strategy, discovery, law and motion, court appearances, mediation, trial preparation, trial, and appellate practice where necessary. His appellate experience includes handling proceedings involving significant questions of public law, constitutional rights, and statutory construction, including securing a published California Court of Appeal decision that reversed an unfavorable trial court judgment for the County of Los Angeles in a California Public Records Act case and established new precedent.
Prior to joining Littler, Oscar worked at a local law firm where he represented the County of Los Angeles, its departments, and employees in civil litigation involving a wide range of claims both under federal and state law, including employment, civil rights, personal injury, and other government tort liability.
